Guardian Progressive Web App (PWA) Guide

The Guardian PWA works in any modern browser on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. No app store download is needed.

Accessing the PWA​

  1. Open your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).
  2. Go to: https://guardian.ems.school
  3. Log in with your email and password.

Installing to Your Home Screen​

Installing the PWA gives you a dedicated app icon and a full-screen experience (no browser address bar).

On Android (Chrome):​

  1. Open the PWA in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.

On iPhone / iPad (Safari):​

  1. Open the PWA in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (box with arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.

The EMS Guardian app icon now appears on your home screen.

After logging in, the home screen shows your child's summary. If you have multiple children enrolled in the same school, use the child selector at the top to switch between them.

Viewing Fee Statements​

  1. Tap Finance.
  2. Your current invoice is shown with the balance due.
  3. Scroll down to see previous terms' payment history.
  4. Tap any payment to see the receipt.

Downloading a Report Card​

  1. Tap Academic.
  2. Tap Report Cards.
  3. Select the term.
  4. Tap Download to save the PDF report card to your device.
