Parents & Guardians

The Parents module manages guardian accounts — the parents and legal guardians linked to enrolled students. Guardian accounts provide access to the Guardian App.

Viewing Guardians

Go to Administration → Parents to see all guardian accounts.

Guardian Accounts

Guardian accounts are automatically created when:

  • A student is admitted through the Admissions module (guardian contact details from the application)
  • A student is manually added with guardian details

Each guardian account is linked to one or more students. A guardian can have multiple children in the system.

Sending a Temporary Password

If a guardian cannot access the app, you can reset their password:

  1. Find the guardian in the list.
  2. Click their name to open the profile.
  3. Click Send Temporary Password.
  4. A new temporary password is emailed to the guardian's registered email address.
tip

Ask guardians to change their temporary password on first login for security.

Editing Guardian Details

  1. Open the guardian's profile.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the details and click Save.

Guardian Portal Access

Guardians access the system through:

  • Guardian PWA — accessible at https://guardian.ems.school from any browser
  • Guardian Mobile App — Android and iOS
